The Wormsloe Historic site is a museum housed in a former plantation offering fascinating and comprehensive information on the history of the Savannah area dating back to its original Native American inhabitants and their relationship with Colonial Georgia.  Ruins of the fortified home constructed by Noble Jones between 1739 and 1745 are the featured part of this historic site, which also offers visitors a beautiful oak-lined drive, a museum, an audiovisual presentation, nature trails and a picnic area.
