Described by some as a "jewel box", the Owens-Thomas House and Museum is where Lafayette spent the night in 1825.  Built in 1816 by an English architect, this spendid example of Georgian Bath and Regency splendor evokes the Savannah golden age and is considered one of the finest examples of its architectural style in the nation
