Attention all yard sale enthusiasts! Thomas & Hutton, located conveniently right off of Chatham Parkway, is hosting its first ever charity yard sale. The yard sale is expected to be a huge event set to take place on Saturday, October 9th from 8 a.m. to 12 noon, rain or shine. The yard sale will benefit The Leukemia & Lymphoma Society’s (LLS) annual Light the Night Walk, which takes place in Savannah’s Forsyth Park on October 15th. Employees and friends of Thomas & Hutton will light up the Chatham Parkway area showcasing gently-loved treasures to raise money for its Light the Night team, the Thomas & Hutton Lightning Bugs. There will be a huge selection including furniture, clothing, toys, books, jewelry, appliances, sports items, household items, electronics and tools, and much, much, more. Join us 8:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. on October 9th at Thomas & Hutton at 50 Park of Commerce Way. Treasures will be displayed in the firm’s sprawling parking lot.
Thomas & Hutton’s goal is to raise over $3,500 for LLS. The firm has raised over half of its goal through its charity events consisting of $5 Jeans Day Fridays and its successful bake sale. Thomas & Hutton is also preparing for its 3rd annual Chili Cook-Off on September 30th. Proceeds from the cook-off will also benefit The Leukemia & Lymphoma Society.
About Leukemia & Lymphoma Society’s Light the Night Walk: Each year, in communities all across the United States and Canada, teams of families, friends, co-workers, and local and national corporations come together to raise funds for The Leukemia & Lymphoma Society’s (LLS) Light the Night Walk events and bring help and hope to people battling blood cancers. Funds raised provides lifesaving blood cancer research, free educational materials and events for patients and their families, local programs such as Family Support Groups and First Connection (a peer-to-peer counseling program), and comprehensive, personalized assistance through LLS’ Information Resource Center. Savannah’s Light the Night Walk will take place on October 15 starting at Forsyth Park. For more information, please visit www.lightthenight.org/ga.
